Brooke, this looks great. Your effort really shows. I would say that overall it looks a little flat so see if you can add some stronger and more contrasted shading on the stomach area and legs. The background looks slightly messy so maybe you could clean it up and I think it would look better if it was a little less dark. But great work!
I like it Brooke, it has just a little bit of a cubist-Picasso-ish feel to it with the outlining of the figure and with how defined your marks are and the angle of the features. I'm actually kind of in love with it now that I look closer. BUT - while it is Picasso-ish, if you were going for realism, then it needs a few finishing details. First, she only has 1 boob in the picture, somehow the angle of her arm must have blocked the other but there should be the suggestion of one somewhere (ok, not just anywhere, you know what I mean). And like Alex said, maybe clean things up just a little bit. If you soften the lines a bit, then I think that's work a bit. I actually think that the shading on her legs looks really good, so do just a little more like that. Looking good though!!
hey brrk, the drawing seems reallly nice and it looks like you put some effort into it. I really think that the background could use a little help; maybe if you draw some fabric or something more than just empty space. Also the perspective on the figure is well done but it isnt consistant thoughout the entire piece. I think that adding more contrast in the face and chest will help that. Good job and keep drawing.......yah
This looks really nice brook. I think that you could do a little more with the contrast and the shading but other than that this looks fantastic! keep up the good work!
I definitely agree with what everyone has said, I love the style you have! It's very chiseled, but in a good way. Her face has strongly defined highlights and shadows, and I really like that. You could keep that going throughout her body, kind of like you do in her arms, and sculpt out her stomach and thighs a little more. I love the upper part of her face, and I think if you elongated her chin a bit and extended her jaw it would really pull together the look! The eyes and nose are lovely :) As is the shading of the hair.
The face is really detailed well done! I like the shadows for most of the part, but I think there are some parts that have relatively less 3D. Anyways, it looks awesome good job!
this is looking very nice. I know, because i was working next to you, that the contrast and everything is much more dramatic than in the photo. If you plan on using it in your portfolio, you will probably want to rephotograph the piece. other than that, amazing job!
This is a beautiful piece Brooke! I like the face expression! But the nose shadow is kinda strong....I think it will look better if the shadow is lighter? Besides that, this is a really amazing piece!

ReplyDeleteBackground? One of her breasts looks larger than the other, could this be fixed?
